In keeping with our commitment to providing high quality informational resources for our patrons, we have compiled this list of web sites to help you better understand and respond to the tragic events of September 11th.
We have divided the sites into several sections. Web sites in the first section provide information about the attacks themselves and about terrorism in general. The next two sections deal with the focal point of investigations into the attacks: Afghanistan, their ruling government the Taliban, Osama bin Laden, and al-Qa'ida. The next section provides information about Islam, Muslims, and Arab-Americans. The last section is devoted to resources that may help individuals respond to and cope with trauma and tragedy (with special thanks to the American Library Association).
