How do I access ebooks and digital audiobooks?
TPL uses two different online apps for ebooks and digital audiobooks: Libby and Hoopla. All you need is a current library card to get started! Once you download the apps, you’ll use your library card number and PIN to set up an account. That’s all it takes! Call (205) 345-5820 with questions.
What's the difference between Libby and Hoopla?
Generally speaking, TPL’s digital collection on Libby includes more new releases, and there’s often a waiting list to borrow popular materials. All materials in our Hoopla collection can be checked out immediately. Call (205) 345-5820 for more information.
I can't login to the library website (or Libby or Hoopla). What's going on?
- Your library card may have expired. Give us a call at (205) 345-5820 or stop by any service desk to renew your library card.
- Did you forget your PIN? You can reset it online or call us at (205) 345-5820.
- Still doesn’t work? Give us a call during normal business hours, and we will help you sort it out.
I'm having trouble signing in to Linkedin Learning. What's going on?
- Make sure you’re logging in through THIS PAGE on the TPL website. Your library card login WILL NOT work if you go directly to the LinkedIn website.
- Your library card may have expired. Give us a call at (205) 345-5820 or stop by any service desk to renew your library card.
- Did you forget your PIN? You can reset it online or call us at (205) 345-5820.
